Reality Check was one of the ideas submitted by Lugan, but the card was modified during playtesting.  It may seem pointless until one remembers that Illusions gain double the energy when being played (because they only cost half as much to play), so this spell would give a d'Resh magi the energy gain on the Illusion, at a cost of 2 at the very least.
